Jack and Rob pose next to Craig (back turned) at the Seneca Lodge that is filled with racing memorabilia.
We got to spend a day at the Hazlitt Vinyard in Hector, New York yesterday with crewman Rob Beattie who's family established the vineyard in 1852. We got our own personal tour by winemaker Tim Benedict who let us sample Reisling wines processing in stainless steel tanks as well as some reds directly from the barrel. After the tour and sampling our DD driver Brenda drove us all up to Watkins Glen where we got a quick racing history of the area and went for dinner at the Seneca Lodge. It was great meal and neat to visit the lodge that has hosted some world famous racers from Formula 1, Indy Car, NASCAR and now the World of Outlaws : )! After dinner we stopped in at the Marina Bar and visited with Sarah (the bubbliest bartender ever) and then got to tour Doug Hazlitts beautiful sailing vessel The Malabar that soon will be headed towards Barcelona Spain to it's new owners. To wrap up the visit I bought some souvenirs at the gift shop to bring back for some family members back home. It was a fun little side stop on our way through, and met some great people!
