Night one of the 4-Crown Nationals weekend was up next for Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they made their fourth and final visit of the season to the high-banked, high-intensity, Eldora Speedway in Ohio.  In the previous visits to the 'Big E' Dollansky finished ninth, eighth, and a sixth place run in the most recent event, the prestigious Kings Royal in July.

The night started with qualifying where ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ steered the Aggressive Hydraulics #7 to 8th fastest on a lightning fast racing surface that saw some of the 31 competitors come close to breaking Dollansky’s track record of 12.707 seconds at the half-mile.  Heat race competition wouldn’t see much passing due to the narrow racing surface as Dollansky started second and finished 2nd behind David Gravel.  In the dash the Karavan Trailers Maxim started seventh and finished 7th.

Starting from inside row four of the 30-lap A-Main the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products sprinter ran seventh by lap 3 as the track was still very fast and narrow.  Dollansky would race past Cody Darrah on lap 14 and hold the sixth spot until the first caution came five laps later.  A great double-file restart saw ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ motor past two cars to take fourth and then advance an additional spot by lap 26 when Brad Sweet blew a tire bringing out the caution flag.  The final double-file restart didn’t fare as well for the Elk River, Minnesota native as Jason Meyers and Dale Blaney snuck by in the final four laps.  Dollansky would still record another strong finish in fifth, his 25th top-five of the season and 40th top-ten.

The Big Game Treestands #7 team now heads to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania tonight for the Commonwealth Clash.
