A trip to upper New York was up next for the Big Game Treestands #7 team on Saturday as they traveled across the Pennsylvania border into ‘The Empire State’ and Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.  In ten appearances at the biggest track on the World of Outlaws schedule, Craig Dollansky has recorded 4 top-fives and 7 top-tens including a tenth place finish during the most recent visit last October.

‘The Crowd Pleaser’ was fast right out of the box in qualifying time trials as he rocketed the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim around the giant 5/8-mile track in 16.187 seconds, dominating the rest of the field by three tenths of a second to earn his third quicktime of the 2011 season.  Lining up fourth in the first heat race, Dollansky would take third on the start and come after Donny Schatz but cross the line in 3rd to transfer into the dash.  An inversion of four put the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products sprinter on the outside of row two for the 6 lap dash where the Elk River, Minnesota native maintained the position and finished 4th.

In the 25-lap A-Main the Karavan Trailers #7 started fourth and had a good initial start but a caution would result in a complete restart.  On the second attempt Dollansky battled with Kerry Madsen and took the third position by the time the field raced down the backstretch on the opening circuit.  After another caution with one lap in the book, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ hounded the younger Madsen brother, Ian, on the restart until lap 6 when he claimed the position.  Now running in second, Dollansky narrowed the gap between himself and leader Jason Meyers but wasn’t quite close enough as the race stayed green the rest of the way and the Big Game Treestands #7 team capped the strong night with a runner-up performance.

“Jason had a real good race car and he’s been strong the last few races,” commented Craig.  “We didn’t have a real good car in the dash but made some changes and definitely were better in the A-Main.  If that first start would have went I think we would have been able to stay up in there.  I was staying with him through the lapped traffic.  This is a great run for everyone that supports this team from Big Game Treestands, Karavan Trailers, Aggressive Hydraulics, Aeroquip, and everyone back home.  We have a lot of support for this race team and would like to get another win but we’ll just keep working hard and hopefully get one soon.”

World of Outlaws competition continues next Saturday, October 15th, for the Big Game Treestands #7 team at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio.
