The World of Outlaws made their second appearance of the season at Silver Dollar Speedway in California on Friday and first since way back on March 12th when the Big Game Treestands #7 team brought home the hardware during the Mini Gold Cup, the teams first of eight victories to this point of the 2011 season.

An abundant field of 53 sprinters signed into the pit area for the first night of the Gold Cup with Dollansky piloting the Karavan Trailers backed sprinter to the 5th fastest time around the 1/4-mile.  Scheduled to start fourth in the fifth and final heat race, Dollansky was running in a transfer spot until he tagged the wall and spun out.  The Elk River, Minnesota native would restart and race up to 7th on a track that was already laying rubber in the heat races.  Forced to run the B-Main, the Aggressive Hydraulics #7 started on the pole and won the 12-lap event.

With the A-Main shortened to 25 laps due to the racing surface and single-file restarts instilled on the 24 car field, the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products Maxim benefited from the strong qualifying lap as ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ got his time back to start thirteenth on the grid.  Unfortunately, as the main event got underway Brad Sweet got sideways in turn three and collected three cars, one of them being Dollansky.  The Big Game Treestands #7 team made repairs to restart at the tail of the field.  Most of the field ran single-file when racing resumed due to the significant amount of rubber being laid down as Dollansky raced Kraig Kinser for seventeenth on lap 8 but continued to run eighteenth by lap 15.  Dollansky held position until the final lap when a blown tire relegated the #7 to 21st at the finish.

The Big Game Treestands #7 team puts a wrap on racing at Silver Dollar Speedway on Saturday as they return to the track for the 58th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions event.
